CALL FOR SPEAKERS
Learning Lab Series on Critical Climate Justice
The Critical Policy Lab is excited to announce an open call for speakers for our Learning Lab Series on Critical Climate Justice. As we face the unequal geographical distribution of climate change effects and the disproportionate responsibilities and profits, it is crucial to address the power dynamics that hinder a fair and equitable system for change.
The learning lab series seeks to create collaborative movements that fight for climate justice within and outside of institutions. We recognize the urgent need for institutional change in decision-making, policymaking, and social impact approaches. We will be organising a series of 4 webinars with experts, practitioners, researchers speaking and co-creative sessions to delve into the scope and meaning of ‘critical climate justice.’ We are looking for speakers to cover topics focussing on:
Social, racial, and environmental justice
Indigenous climate action
Pluralism and alternative economic models
Decolonization and climate action
Participatory and feminist approaches for community resilience
Intersectionality in climate justice
If you are a practitioner, researcher, or advocate with expertise in these areas, we invite you to share your insights and experiences. Submit your proposal to contribute to this critical dialogue and help us drive towards a just and sustainable future.
The following sessions will take place on these dates:
September 26 | 16:00-17:30 (CEST): #1 SOCIAL JUSTICE: Decolonizing Climate: Reimagining Environmental Justice and Confronting Imperial Legacies
October 17 | 16:00-17:30 (CEST): #2 JUST TRANSITION: Climate Justice and Intersectionality: Including multiple identities and systems of power into the climate action dialogue
